Geza Kalman jr has been known as “The Bigg Dawg” through out his professional wrestling and mixed martial arts career. A career that started well over 15 years ago, that seen him travel the world. Geza won professional wrestling Championships, trained aspiring pro wrestlers and even fought several times in the popular UFC with the moniker “Bigg Dawg.
For the next year “The Bigg Dawg” will actually be called Ambassador Geza Kalman. It has a nice ring to it we think.
Why you might ask are we going to call Geza Ambassador? Well the Pure Wrestling Association was approached by Geza Kalman to help give back to the communities it holds wrestling events in. Geza suggested that PWA once again launch the Headlocks on Hunger campaign, stating people are always in need of food, not just when it is the Holidays. PWA owner Mike Becherer agreed.
At every Pure Wrestling Association event that is held this year a red box with the official Headlock on Hunger logo (the picture in the article) will be at the entrance and we will be collecting any canned good donations the fans, wrestlers and staff bring in. The items will then be delivered to places that can use food like the food banks, homeless shelters, etc.
The goal for this year is to collect 500lbs of food to donate to people who could really use it. Updates of our progress will be posted right here on www.PWACanada.com
